So far the knitting trend for 2012 is hats! I'm busting out lots of hats because I have quit a stash I'd like to start busting. This is another Honey Hat. It's such a delightful, quick pattern to knit up and looks ah-dorbs on the little ones.
Simonne's buddy, Chloe, was having a birthday so I whipped one up for her. All the details have been Raveled. I wasn't sure if I'd like the results with self striping yarn but I think it turned out ok. Simonne didn't want to give it up.
Your daughter is beautiful! I think the Mosaic striping isn't too bad - the colors are great!

Thanks! I definitely prefer the hat in a solid but when I asked Simonne what color I should use she said pink purple red so I thought, "why not try for all of those?" The picture looks a bit off but it's a dark raspberry, purple/violet, blue and pink combo. Close enough :)

That hat is adorable! I'm going to have to try it. The colors are so rich. I wanted to tell you that it took me a whole year but I made the nankin sweater your daughter is wearing in the Vintage Family catalog. My daughter loves it, but it's too hot here now for her to wear it! You can see it here: http://littlehomesteadinthedesert.blogspot.com/2011/11/wool-and-bacon.html
