I just sewed up a storm this week while we were on 'vacation'! I have to say that these totes are not only a pleasure to make, they are a pleasure to use. I have been using my original set for just over a year now and I love them. I have been stashing away vintage cases all winter with the intention of making more for the shop and that time finally came. These market totes are going into the shop tonight but if you are up to making your own don't forget about my tutorial. It's such a satisfying project. The only problem that I have encountered using these totes is the extra step of convincing the folks who help bag at the grocery store to use them! They always ask, "In this bag? But it's so pretty." No reason why function and beauty can't marry. Right? xoxo Abi
how funny! this tutorial is how i first found you and i have now grown to love your space here. i just hours ago came across the pillowcases i picked up specifically for this project that are still in the bag! maybe i needed this little kick in the arse. thanks! ;)

ALL reusable grocery totes should be this pretty! I've seen a lot of retro curtains at the thrift store that could make good strong totes too....they certainly aren't going to match the decor of most people's houses anymore ;)
