oh, i wish i could use our living room floor! poor jorn is displaced tonight so the shawl can block on his bed. it takes up the whole (queen) thing! so he'll be bunking with simonne tonight which means much giggling past their bedtime :)
That's gorgeous! For blocking, I've seen people use the rubber "play tiles" that fit together like a puzzle and create a soft floor. The kids could even use them, or leave them stacked in a corner. They're probably much like the blocking pads from Knitpicks, but maybe you can find someone who wants to re-purpose theirs.
yes! we used to have those when jorn was small. our cat obie loves to eat them (and flip flops too) :) but that was before i even started knitting. cats are not allowed in the 'blocking room' so the tiles would be safe now.
