Greg and I hired a sitter (for the first time ever!) and went to see Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros. Holy Crow, they were amazing! Really. If you ever have the chance to see them live do not pass it up. I have been to a lot of concerts but none quite like this one. I won't even try to describe it (helpful, I know). Ok, I'll try. It's sort of hippie love vibe meets baptist revival but on a spaceship. See, I told you I shouldn't even try.
I can finally hear again. Greg and I were front row center. It was so exciting to see a band that we love so much but also to just get out together since it happens so rarely. It didn't hurt that they sing 'our song' either.
I hope your weekend is as fun as our Tuesday night was this week!

I had just recently heard about them. When we won tickets to the show (that same show!) we said "why not?" and went. SO MUCH FUN.

I was driving home from Vermont about a week and a half ago and heard them on the radio - but did not catch their name - very disappointed. As soon as I read your post - I knew this was the band. So thank you!

get out! were you on the will call/VIP line? we were, it was a short line, so we must have seen each other. weren't they amazing? it's so good to know though that when we were all waiting and waiting for the concert to actually start i probably wasn't the only one wishing i had brought my knitting ;)

I love this group!!! I just moved to Hawaii and as a going away present one of my best friend gave me there CD (this was the first time I have ever heard them) and she played the song 'Home' which I can't stop listening too. I bet seeing them in person was amazing!
