Today was a REALLY good day for Vintage! We were all sort of stuck this morning and getting in each other's hair (it was a rough night of sleep or lack thereof last night). So I suggested a family hunt and it paid off for everyone! Jorn got "skater" shoes, Simonne got a vintage wooden doll cradle, Vaughn got vintage red corduroy Osh-Kosh Overalls with feet (!) and Greg got a stack of books. In fact, our house even got a new (very old) wooden folding chair. And me...well...I loaded up on stuff for the shop! But there was one thing I bought for the shop I just don't think I'll be able to part with.
Oh Oh oh! I love thrifting and treasure hunting. I love that jumper! Way to go!

Oh, that's so cute -- lucky you! Wouldn't it look great worn over pants too as fall comes along?

Yes! What a great idea! I'm a big (tall) boot gal too, so leggings and boots. Some hand knit leggings...

Thanks Suzanne! I'd love to search in Ohio. Aren't there a lot of big antique festivals there?

You are inspiring me to go treasure hunting here in CT! That's a great find!

There are good festivals, but I admit I don't know what they are. Mostly, I hunt in thrift stores, which Ohio has tons of, and there are some that are really great. I've gotten a lot of pyrex and great vintage woolens and baby things. I love thrifting. Good luck!

I just wanted to say one more thing about that jumper! I think it would be a fairly easy pattern to copy, and you are recently into sewing. The pieces of the jumper are mostly rectangles and gathers... Patch pockets are easy. I'll bet you could copy that pretty easily!
