Aren't they cute? But look out! They are two faced ;)
Oh, I love swaddled babies! Don't you? So, the other day I was inspired and stitched up some baby dolls. On one side they are awake and on the other side they are asleep. Each Wee Baby has a lavender sachet loving tucked into them as I stuff them so when you give them a squeeze they smell divine.
As simple as a doll like this is, kids just love that expression change and they are so easy to manipulate during play. I remember having a Little Red Riding Hood doll as a child that flipped over to reveal the wolf on one side and grandma on the other. It was one of my favorite things to play with. I made these Wee Babies hoping they would be really easy for even small children to play with, imagine and nurture.
These two babies are in the shop. I have a very pink one in the works that was a special request from Simonne :) I had originally made the polka dot one for her but it wasn't pink enough. Oh what fun!
