Oh, what a crazy few weeks it's been! I don't want to complain or fish for any sympathy but I've been struggling with my postpartum arthritis issues again and this time they are really bad. I've spent the past few weeks on the couch (doctor's orders) and have managed to knit a bit. So, let's get to the good stuff :)
This was such a quick and really fun knit! I *love* knitting for my kids more than anything. All the project details are here on Ravelry along with some more pictures. I have to say though that weaving in 66 plus ends was quite a chore but I am a real sucker for stripes. No matter anyway, she loves it, that's what counts. I knit this with Lion Brand Wool Ease because I had it in my stash and because Simonne is stuck like glue to our baby chicks. I can throw it in the washer and dryer and I have to say it is quite nice.
It was so hard to get pictures this time of Simonne! She was too funny really. Most of what I shot looked like this...
She is quite the ham. You won't be able to miss her in this sweater if you are going to Rhinebeck. Greg, Jorn and Vaughn will all be in their Cobblestones...at least that's my fantasy...we'll see if it actually happens. We're planning on going Sunday. I am so excited. My next project is to count all the change I squirrel away just for this weekend! It's turned into quite the ritual :) Be sure to leave a comment if you are going!
