Well, today is my official "due date" but no labor pains yet. Instead we spent the morning hopping from tag sale to tag sale and enjoying local farmers markets. My back is killing me and I am getting really tired. Every stranger is predicting that I am having a girl by the way I am carrying and my husband is convinced I have another week before our wee one arrives. Really it's anyone's guess and Little Spidey will be the one to chose the time and place. The waiting is hard so I am keeping busy with naps, family time and even some knitting thrown in.
Project Specs:
Pattern: Eagle's Flight Sock Pattern **Free**
Yarn: Plymouth Sockotta in a new(er) color way but the ball band was a causality of our move.
Needles: KA Bamboo size 1 DP's
Mods: The toes are completely different. I finished the first sock before we moved and remember knitting the toe and thinking, "Hmm I don't think I was supposed to do that but if I do the same thing on the other sock it'll all be fine." Well...I forgot whatever that thing was but both socks fit fine and that makes me happy enough right now to not want to let the inner perfectionist dominate.
I'm putting the finishing touches on a Heart Breakingly Cute Baby Kimono tonight which took all of a day to knit at the most but is decidedly for a girl just like pretty much everything else I have been crafting through this pregnancy. We'll see soon enough if my hunches are right :-)
Now it's back to my rocker with a tall glass of lemonade to enjoy this time. I am at that point where I just can't wait to meet this baby but also feel sad that my pregnancy is almost over. I really enjoy being pregnant. Other than those first few months which are always hard for me because of severe morning sickness, I feel so peaceful, connected. Like most people I try to just be that way in my (non-pregnant) daily life but there is just no effort required when I am incubating a little one. It's a really is a great thing.

I hope everyone is having a restful, joyful weekend. I'll be sure to keep you all "posted" (no pun intended) when Little Spidey decides to make his or her debut.
